As part of his familiarization with the staff and management of the Sunyani West Municipal Assembly, a staff durbar has been organized to enable the new Municipal Chief Executive, Honourable Kwasi Asante Boateng (Esq.), to engage with the management and staff of the assembly. The meeting provided a platform for open dialogue between management, staff, and the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Gordon Domayele, welcomed the staff to the meeting and mentioned that it was important such a meeting was organized to enable staff to familiarize themselves and interact with the Chief Executive and to also afford opportunity for the Chief Executive to share his vision and aspirations with the staff and his expectations to ensure a serene working environment.
He therefore urged staff to pay attention to the deliberations of the day for a fruitful discussion.
In his address, the Municipal Chief Executive emphasized his commitment to working with all staff, regardless of political affiliations.
He underscores the responsibility and high expectations that come with his role and calls on the staff to sit up to ensure expectations are met.
Hon. Kwasi Asante Boateng reiterated his willingness to work as a team, emphasizing that honesty, teamwork, and shared commitment to the Assembly’s success depend on the collective progress of all staff.
He urged staff to communicate openly about their challenges and ideas for improvement and cautioned staff to desist from absenteeism and reporting to work late, which he will not entertain.
Earlier, there was a Heads of Department meeting with the Chief Executive where the various departmental heads made presentations on their core mandates to enable the Chief Executive to be abreast with the roles and functions of each of the Departments, Units, and Agencies of the Assembly.
