Hon. Evans Kusi Boadum, Mr. Gordon Domayele (Co-ordinating Director, SWMA), Madam Bertha Adu-Koranteng (Deputy Director, SWMA) and DSP Eric Anaba (District Police Commander) on 12th June, 2023 met Farmers of Aduonya to deliberate on how to prevent FULANI HERDSMEN and their cattle from invading their farms.
Addressing the Farmers, Hon. MCE on behalf of H. E. the President of Ghana assured them of any possible means of helping to protect their farms and produce. He also admonished that the farmers themselves should also pass through legal
means to protect their farms and not necessarily gunning the Fulani herdsmen and their cattle down.
DSP Eric Anaba also made the Farmers aware that in no time the Fulani herdsmen would be invited for a meeting to amicably resolve the problem.
He also added that a committee comprising representatives of Nananom, Farmers, Fulani herdsmen, Assembly Members, Assembly, District Police etc would be established very soon to discuss the best, legal and amicable ways to prevent Fulani herdsmen and their cattle from invading farms in the Municipality.
