The Sunyani District Forestry’s edition of Green Ghana day was celebrated at Tetekrom-Chiraa on 9th June, 2023.
At exactly 8:15am, Nananom of Chriaa Traditional Council, led by Nana Barima Minta Afari II welcomed Hon. Evans Kusi Boadum, Hon. Ansu Kumi and the Staff of Sunyani District Forestry at the palace to commence the journey to TETEKROM, the main venue where the tree planting took place.
At TETEKROM, Nana Kojo Dei, the Manager of MORTON FOREST and his
Staff also welcomed the team into a beautiful forest with different species of tree and a vast land where the tree planting really took place.
In the address of Hon. Evans Kusi Boadum, he extended the greetings of the Hon. Bono Regional Minister to Nananom of Chiraa and all the people gathered. He admonished each and everyone to take tree planting as a culture.
From Chiraa, after Hon. Evans Kusi Boadum had planted a number of trees, he joined the Staff of Sunyani West Municipal Assembly for the Sunyani West’s edition of the Green Ghana day.
In Odomase, the tree planting took place at the New Administration Block of the Sunyani West Municipal Assembly, Agenda
111 site and the Astroturf at the Method Basic School.
He finally met the Staff of Sunyani West Municipal Assembly at the Conference Hall and applauded them for their active participation in the Green Ghana Day.
