The Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC) in a short ceremony has inaugurated a Seven-member Sustainable Management Committee (SMC) at Nsoatre in the Bono region.
The committee among other functions will be responsible guiding and overseeing the operations of the Community Information Centre (CICs), working in collaboration with GIFEC and a CIC manager.
The membership of the committee is made up of Representatives of the following areas; Traditional Authority, Municipal Assembly, Ghana Education Service, Local Business community, professional body and the religious body.
Giving his inaugural address, Mr. Agyemang Dua of GIFEC, said the provision of ICT Centre is to enable people abreast themselves with modern trends of technology and to also help bridge the gap between small communities and urban communities in the country.
He charged the committee to be responsible for the day to day management of the centre for it to achieve its purpose

Hon. Evans Kusi Boadum, the Municipal Chief Executive urged the Committee members to show commitment and dedication towards the course of the centre.
