41 PWDs RECEIVES SUPPORT FROM SUNYANI WEST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

41 persons with disabilities in the Sunyani West Municipal Assembly has received support from the Assembly worth GH₵84,500.00 to set them up to be economically sound.
The support was in fulfilment of the core functions of the utilization of the DACF for PWDs. The areas of support were income generation, education support and Medical /Assertive support.
The Municipal Chief Executive Mr. Evans Kusi Boadum in short ceremony to disburse the items to the beneficiaries, said the responsibility of the government to support PWDs would continue until all of the PWDs are empowered in one way or the other.
He asked the beneficiaries to use the items received for its intended purposes so that they would be empowered economically and also be financially independent.
The head of Social Welfare Community Development, Madam Matilda Asante disclosed that the beneficiaries made the request for the items they have been supplied with.
She said monitoring will continue as her work demands to make sure the items received will be used for the purposes requested for, so that government intentions for supporting them will be materialized.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to government and pledge to put the items into good use.
